OUR PROUD HISTORY

Reepham is a pretty market town about 11 miles north west of Norwich, 14 miles south west of Cromer and 10 miles north east of Dereham. It is on the B1145 road.

The town itself dates back to 1066 and the market was founded in 1277 when Sir John de Vaux obtained a charter from King Edward I for a weekly market. The current market place is mainly 18th century.

The Crown at Reeham has been a traditional public house since 1861. situated on Ollands Road, just out of the town centre, near Reepham Station. Originally owned privately, The Crown at Reepham was three houses which were converted in to one in the 19th Century. The owners owned a large amount of land around the area of the pub, and the pub itself was a favourite location for people travelling on the new railway system of the time - leaving or arriving at Reepham.
